Summary
Standards Checker is a static website. There is no backend server, no database, no accounts, and no sign-in. Every question, checklist, checkbox, and referral note you interact with is held only in your browser's memory for the current page session. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere, stored anywhere, or seen by anyone - including us.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, logins, names, or email addresses.
- No answers, checklist selections, gap summaries, or referral notes - these exist only in your browser tab and are lost when you close it, refresh, or click "Start over".
- No cookies set by this site.
- No analytics, tracking pixels, or usage monitoring of any kind.
- No server-side logging of your activity on the assessment pages, because there is no server-side component to log with.
Third-party services this page loads
This site loads webfonts (Inter, JetBrains Mono) from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) so text renders consistently. Loading a font is a standard HTTP request, so your browser sends its IP address and standard request headers to Google's font servers, the same as it would to any website. Google's own privacy policy governs that request; we don't control or see it. No other third-party script, tracker, or advertising service is loaded by this site.
The site itself is hosted on Hostinger, which serves the static files and may keep standard web-server access logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) for security and operational purposes, the same as any hosting provider. We do not separately access, export, or analyse those logs for tracking purposes.
Sourcing and the standards bodies referenced
Every question on this site is built from publicly available material - standards documents published by the relevant agency (Transport for NSW, the Asset Standards Authority), or, where the pack states it explicitly, general professional knowledge of a purchasable public standard (such as the AS 1100 series from Standards Australia). No confidential, internal, or privileged information from any standards body or government agency is used, referenced, or disclosed anywhere on this site. Standards Checker is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of Transport for NSW, the Asset Standards Authority, or Standards Australia.
Children's privacy
This site is a professional self-assessment tool aimed at engineering and construction practitioners. It is not directed at children, and since no personal information is collected from any visitor, none is collected from children either.
Changes to this policy
If the site's functionality changes to include accounts, storage, or analytics, this page will be updated first and the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
